1. Where a press is missing or cannot be used, an assembly sleeve and a small hammer can be used to install the end bar spherical plain bearing. The hammering force shall be evenly transmitted to the entire circumference of the end face of the end rod spherical plain bearing ring, so the end face of the assembly sleeve hammered shall be spherical.
2. The force required for installing the end rod spherical plain bearing is related to the size of spherical plain bearing and the size of the fit interference. For medium or large spherical plain bearing with large interference, the method of hot installation is commonly used. Before hot installation, put the end rod spherical plain bearing or separable spherical plain bearing ring into the oil tank or special heater and heat it evenly to 80-100 ℃, not exceeding 100 ℃.
3. Hot assembly of spherical plain bearings requires skilled operation skills. When the spherical plain bearing is taken out of the heating oil tank or heater, immediately wipe the oil stain and attachment on the spherical plain bearing surface with a clean cloth (note that cotton yarn cannot be used), and then place it in front of the fitting surface. Push the spherical plain bearing to the place where it is against the shaft shoulder in one operation. During cooling, push the spherical plain bearing tightly at all times, or tap the spherical plain bearing with a small hammer through the assembly sleeve to make it close. When installing the end rod spherical plain bearing, rotate the spherical plain bearing slightly to avoid tilting or jamming.
4. When the outer ring of the end rod spherical plain bearing is closely matched with the housing hole, the housing can also be heated and installed into the spherical plain bearing. In particular, spherical plain bearings made of light metal materials may cause damage to the mating surface due to the pressing of their outer rings during the tight fitting process. In this case, the end rod spherical plain bearings should be heated first.
